Tuesday Low-Intermediate Ride
Are you newer to cycling or looking for a friendly casual ride?
This Low to Intermediate ride features an average conversational pace of 12-14 MPH on paved trails, neighborhood streets and country roads, and a distance of approximately 40’ish miles.
This will be a mostly flat ride, but there is no guarantee we won’t encounter a hill or two.
This is a “No Drop” ride. All paces are welcome but may be "self led".
Safety is our top priority! Please be familiar with our cycling rules and consider taking the Bike Safety Quiz to enhance your safety knowledge.
Download the route to your cycling computer, phone or print a copy.
- Registration is required (click the REGISTER NOW box).
- Helmets and rear lights are required.
- Front lights and high visibility apparel are recommended.
- Dress in layers and plan for the weather (temps and wind).
- Please bring water and snacks to stay hydrated and fueled.
- Have your bicycle in good working order, and arrive 10-15 minutes before our scheduled departure time so you and your bike are ready to roll at the posted departure time.
2 Tailored Routes!
This tends to be the largest attended bike ride of the week with a wide range of riders! In the past, the faster riders have tended to separate from the group. Therefore we have added a 2nd Route that adds ~3 scenic miles to the primary route before arriving in Sycamore. We're suggesting the faster riders ride the additional miles so that the group meets up in Sycamore at roughly the same time.
Note: If you choose to ride the longer route at a slow pace, you may have to be self-supported since the group will be at the rest stop before you and possibly have started the return route to the start/finish.
